I didn't set out to become a filmmaker. I was chasing something else entirely, but somewhere along the way I realized video had already shaped how I understood myself — the moments I'd captured growing up became the moments I used to figure out who I was. That turned into a love for storytelling, and storytelling turned into documentary work: the chance to sit inside someone else's experience and walk away having learned something true.

The longer I spend behind a camera, based between wherever the next story lives, the more I fall for what images and video can do that words alone can't — hold a feeling, hold a silence, hold a person exactly as they are.

At the center of it all is connection. I think that's the real reason people tell stories: to feel seen, and to feel less alone in whatever they're going through. Whether you work with me or just watch something I've made, I want you to feel that — and I want to be the person who helps you tell your story, with care.
